How important is buying from Callaway’s current rangefinder lineup?

The current Callaway rangefinder collection shows Screen View and CSI Pro; 300 Pro remains available through older/product marketplace routes.

Low priority — I am fine with an older model if the exact listing is genuine and well protected. High priority — I prefer the model Callaway currently includes in its rangefinder lineup. I will consider legacy/older inventory when the value is clearly better. I would rather avoid older inventory and simplify support/ownership decisions.

What must be true for you to choose the 300 Pro?

Treat condition, seller and return protection as part of the product — not an afterthought.

It must be new or clearly described, from a seller I trust, with easy returns and meaningful savings. I do not want to evaluate legacy listing risk; I would rather choose the current-line route. I am comfortable checking seller, warranty eligibility and exact condition before buying. I want the simpler purchase decision even if an older listing occasionally looks cheaper.

Which hardware story appeals more?

Use verified specs, not assumed generational improvements.

The 300 Pro’s known 5.4-oz compact body, 6x optics, Magnahold, slope and PAT are already enough. I prefer CSI Pro’s current-line traditional laser package with slope, PAT, scan mode, multi-coated optics and auto-off. I value the 300 Pro’s published compact/magnetic setup more than having the newer lineup position. I value the CSI Pro’s current product positioning and optics/control package more than the older compact spec sheet.

How should price influence this decision?

Do not use a fixed price; compare the real offers you see at purchase time.

A genuinely lower total cost can justify the 300 Pro if condition and seller protections check out. A small discount is not enough to make me choose older inventory over the current-line CSI Pro. I am deal-driven and willing to verify the listing carefully. I am ownership-risk-driven and would rather choose the current-line model.
